AV SQUAD is a creative advertising agency specializing in audio/visual advertising for theatrical motion pictures. Founded in November of 2003, the company provides all forms of audio visual advertising, including trailers, television spots, radio spots, and promotional presentations.
AV SQUAD was founded and is operated by Seth Gaven, a 25 year industry veteran with experience on both the creative agency and studio side of the movie marketing business.
As an award winning editor, producer, and writer, Mr. Gaven has been involved with the creation of marketing campaigns for hundreds of movies including such major successes as Independence Day, Home Alone, Terminator 1 and 2, War of the Roses, Ransom, Casino, I Know What You Did Last Summer, and Born On The Fourth Of July to name a few.
As former Executive Vice President of Creative Advertising for MGM Studios, Mr. Gaven led the creation of campaigns for Hannibal, Legally Blonde, The World Is Not Enough, The Thomas Crown Affair, Jeepers Creepers, and Barbershop among others.
His experience as both an agency creative director and a studio marketing executive gives him a unique overview of the marketplace, providing him a competitive advantage in his field. He also has extensive experience dealing with both the research and strategic planning areas of motion picture marketing.
Dan Wetherbee, Senior Vice President of AV Squad, is a 27 year veteran of motion picture advertising and has created materials for the marketing campaign of such movies as The Star Wars Trilogy, Basic Instinct, Star Trek, X-Men, Gangs of New York, Tomb Raider, Scary Movie, Philadelphia and Apollo 13.
Chad Miller, Creative Director of AV Squad has been with the company from it’s inception in 2003 and functioned as it’s head editor.
AV SQUAD has made an impressive mark during its first years by producing materials for numerous studios including Sony Pictures, Universal Studios, Dimension Films, Paramount Pictures, The Weinstein Company, Disney Studios, New Line Cinema, and Warner Bros. Pictures, working on projects such as Fast and Furious, Star Trek, Public Enemies, Valkyrie, Halloween, 1408, Vantage Point, 21, A History of Violence, Kill Bill, and Casino Royale.
